Kid Science at the McWane Science Center

Kids doing a chemical science experiment

Right now, your kids are like sponges. They soak up everything you put in front of them. Make sure they soak up some science by taking them to the McWane Science Center. The science center makes learning fun for kids. This is a great way to introduce your kids to science.

The Exhibits

The McWane Science Center has four levels full of educational exhibits. On the lower level, you will find the Shark and Ray Touch Tank and the World of Water Aquariums. Spend some time on this level so you can teach your kids about marine life. They will have so much fun that they won’t even realize they are learning.

Then, move on to Level 1, where you will find ScienceQuest, the Bubble Room, and Rushton Theater. From learning the science behind bubbles to playing with gravity, your kids will learn a lot on this floor.

Then, it will be time to go to Level 2, where you will come across tons of exhibits. Expect your kids to spend a great deal of time at the Alabama Dinosaurs exhibit. Kids are typically interested in dinosaurs, and this will take that interest to the next level.

Finally, you can hit the third level, where you will find an Art and Tech exhibit, along with a traveling exhibit. The Art and Tech exhibit has a lot of fun activities that explain how art and technology can come together. If your kids have artistic sides, they will enjoy this exhibit.

IMAX Dome

You will also want to take your kids to the IMAX Dome. You can see some exciting educational films at this theater. Your kids will learn quite a bit, and they will be in awe of the amazing graphics.

You don’t have to stop teaching your kids after you leave the science center. Keep the lessons coming by visiting Limbaugh Toyota in Birmingham, Alabama. When you buy a vehicle at this dealership, you will teach your kids the importance of buying vehicles that are loaded with safety features. You will also teach them the importance of getting a lot of value with a vehicle. These are great lessons that your kids will take into adulthood.
