- 1/2 cup of butter
- 3 ounces of cream cheese; softened
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour

Pecan Tassies Filling Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of butter; softened
- 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2/3 cups of finely chopped pecans
- A dash of salt

Pecan Tassies Instructions
- To make the crust, beat the cream cheese and butter in a small bowl until smooth.
- Add in flour a little at a time and beat until smooth.
- Refrigerate the dough for one hour or until it is firm enough to be rolled.
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
- Shape the dough into small balls about one inch in diameter. Then, press them into the bottom and up the sides of a greased mini muffin pan.
- Meanwhile, make your pecan tassies filling. All you need to do is mix egg, brown sugar, butter, vanilla, and salt in a small bowl until it is well blended.
- Spoon the filling into the pastry cups and sprinkle with the remaining chopped pecans.
- Place the tassies in the oven and bake them for 15 to 20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove the pecan tassies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for two to three minutes.
- Remove the pecan tassies from the muffin pan. If the tassies stick to the pan, run a sharp knife along the edges of each cup. Once the pecan tassies are removed from the pan, place them on a wire rack to finish cooling. They will take about 10 minutes to completely cool.
