If you are looking to purchase a Toyota Tundra, you will have a few options when it comes to cab size – the single cab, the double cab, and the CrewMax. The Double Cab is an extended-cab version of the regular cab model that has four doors. The CrewMax Tundra is larger and has more engine options than both the single and double cab models. Let’s take a look at some other features that makes the Toyota Tundra CrewMax unique!
Tundra CrewMax Features
The CrewMax offers more size than the single and double cab Tundra models. In fact, the CrewMax features the largest cab of any truck in the full-size pickup market. The four-wheel-drive CrewMax sits on a 145.7-inch wheelbase. The overall length of the CrewMax is 228.7 inches. It’s 79.9 inches wide and 75.6 inches tall, and the ground clearance is 10 inches.
The Double Cab model sits on either 127.4- or 140.6-inch wheelbase (depending on the cargo box size.) The overall length is 208.1 or 221.3 inches, with a width of 74.6 inches and height measuring 70.1 inches. This is obviously a lot of room, but if you are looking to max out your space even more, then the CrewMax is the clear winner. The CrewMax even comfortably seats six – unheard of for a pickup truck!
Tundra CrewMax Engine
As far as power goes, the Tundra CrewMax comes out on top again. The CrewMax is powered by a 4.7- or 5.7-liter V-8 engine. The standard Toyota Tundra 4-liter V-6 engine is not available in the CrewMax. The Double Cab is offered only with the 4-liter V-6 engine.
Any Toyota Tundra that you buy will be an excellent vehicle, but if space and power is important to you then consider the Tundra CrewMax. If you want to see the differences for yourself then come to Limbaugh Toyota and check out our selections of Tundras! There is one for everbody.
