See Birmingham’s Best Breweries At The Tour De Brewers

On March 16, lace up your running shoes and grab a drink for a good cause. The Tour de Brewers returns for a Saturday charity fun run across Birmingham, with a few convenient stops at some of Birmingham’s beloved craft breweries. The event supports the local non-profit Dannon Project, which promotes stable families, permanent employment, and holistic health within at-risk communities.

WHEN AND WHERE

At 11 a.m. on March 16, runners and cyclists will convene at Tin Roof in Lakeview. With your race bib, you’ll receive five vouchers for a drink at the breweries along the routes. You’ll also get a commemorative t-shirt and access to an afterparty back at the Tin Roof. From the start, you can choose a route that suits your preferences, and you can also refer to the volunteers and maps to stay on-track. Tickets are available for right here.

THE BREWERIES

The run covers about 11K, so you may savor multiple opportunities to stop at a local taproom to catch your breath with a craft brew. This year’s participating purveyors are Avondale Brewing, Back Forty, Birmingham District, Cahaba Brewing, Ghost Train, Good People, Trim Tab, and Hop City.

If you’re craving a stout for the St. Patrick’s Day weekend, consider Avondale’s Vanillaphant, Good People’s Coffee Oatmeal, Back Forty’s Soot Imperial, Birmingham District’s Descent, or Cahaba’s Irish Stout. Sláinte!
