With regard to performance, revised shock tuning and a spring rate change will improve handling and provide agile control on the 2017 Toyota 86. The manual transmission gets a gear ratio change for quicker acceleration, which increases both the horsepower and torque by five. Now the 2.0-liter flat-four will produce 205 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque.
