Known as Birmingham’s largest food and music block party, Slice Fest will be celebrating its 5th anniversary this year on Saturday, June 11th. Whether it’s a yearly event for you or you’ve never been, you don’t want to miss this festival and we are going to let you know why.
Saturday is the big day, so you ask what is there to do the day before? Check out all of these ideas.
The night before Slice Fest – Friday, June 10th:
- It is 5 o’clock somewhere! Head on over to El Barrio located in Downtown Birmingham for a refreshing margarita after work and just relax!
- Games and Grub. Check out Paramount located in Downtown Birmingham if you want your inner kid to come out and play arcade games while you eat.
- There’s nothing better on a hot day than Steel City Pops. Head to Birmingham’s favorite gourmet popsicle store for a cool treat.
- Go get a new outfit at one of the biggest outdoor shopping malls – The Summit. With over 100 stores and tons of restaurant options to grab a bite to eat at!
Slice Fest – Saturday, June 11th:
- Wake up and head to Lakeview as early as you please! Tickets at the gate for $35
- Starting at 1:00 – there will be kid activities going on, including face painting, balloon art and more!
- Bands will also start at 1:00 and go until 11:30pm. Line-Up: The Weeks, Keller Williams, The Revivalist, The Soul Rebels, Vallejo, Break Science and Muddy Magnolias.
- Local Craft Beer and Food all around. Including but not limited too – Slice Pizza (Duh), Five, Babalu, Sky Castle, Jack Brown’s, Moe’s Originial BBQ, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, Cantina on Wheels Food Truck, Recippi’s Italian Ice and many more!
