What’s In A Name?

Bistro 218 is named for its address, 218 North Twentieth Street. And that’s the perfect name, because the building is something special. It was built in the 1920’s and fits in well with the many architectural gems that call downtown Birmingham home. The restaurant was opened in 2012 by Chef Tom Saab and features locally grown ingredients as well as imports from Italy and France. Among its accolades are the Open Table’s Diners’ Choice Restaurant, Best of Birmingham Magazine’s 2019-2020 for Best Gumbo, Trip Advisor Award for Best Fine Dining, and other honors. Oh yeah, don’t forget to ask the owners about Bistro 218’s place in the movies. Turns out, the romantic ambiance is ideal for the silver screen.

Dessert Menu
