Whether you’re joining one of the guided hikes or setting out on your own, Red Mountain Park is the perfect place to take in the scope and beauty of Alabama’s natural surroundings. There are 15 miles of hiking and biking trails to explore, with 2 miles of flat trail for easy walking and stroller use. The park is home to the largest dog park in Alabama, Remy’s Dog Park, which features 6 acres of fenced land for your pets to burn off energy. If you have a taste for adventure, you’ll find plenty of thrills with Red Mountain Park’s zip lines, sky bridge, ropes course, 75-foot climbing tower, and more.

The park is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., but gate opening and closing times are subject to change based on season and other factors. Join the park’s mailing list for updates. Red Mountain Park’s trailhead entrance is located at 2011 Frankfurt Drive, Birmingham, AL 35211.
