Full Moon Bar-B-Que is owned and operated by brothers, David and Joe Maluff, who are native to Birmingham. The brothers have been in the barbecue business since 1986, and Full Moon has grown to over seventeen locations throughout Alabama and Mississippi. Moe’s Original Bar B Que
Moe’s Original Bar B Que was created by three Alabama natives from Athens, Huntsville, and Tuscaloosa who all went to school at the University of Alabama. One of Moe’s founders was Mike Fernandez who learned the tricks of the trade from a one Moses Day. Moses showed Mike how to fire roast meat. Mike along with the other two founders, Ben Gilbert and Jeff Kennedy, all moved to Colorado. From there, the guys learned how to use fruit wood to smoke their meat. Along with this method for cooking barbecue, Moe’s stands out with its freshly made Southern sides and desserts.
